Global Portfolio Challenge

The QGF Global Portfolio Challenge is a simulated web-based investment challenge that provides a fun educational tool to help educate students about investing in exchange-traded products. Since its launch in the fall of 2006, the challenge has attracted thousands of students from nearly 100 universities on six continents. In this challenge, investors will use $100,000 in virtual endorsements to construct a portfolio using four to ten funds. Participants will attempt to pick the best performing fund portfolios. Each participant will compete on the investment performance of their respective virtual portfolios.

The top 5 winners will be recognized on a variety of platforms, including the Challenge's website and the leading ETF industry conference, the Expert Series' ETP Forum in New York City. Winners are also eligible to participate in a micro-internship in the financial services sector.

Undergraduate or graduate students enrolled at an accredited university or college are eligible to participate in this challenge.

The QGF Global Portfolio Competition offers students the opportunity to present real, managed portfolios and compare their performance with other individuals, teams and universities. Students compete in a range of categories and winners will be announced live on day five of the B1P program.

Eligibility

To be considered for a prize in the QGF Global Portfolio Challenge, you must be an undergraduate or postgraduate student enrolled in an accredited university or college.

Each participant can only register once per competition. Entrants may not enter more than once during each contest or under an assumed alias. In the event of multiple or inaccurate entries, invalid or incomplete identifying information, QGF Global may, in its sole discretion, disqualify an entrant.

Portfolio performance

Each virtual portfolio will be measured against maximum total return based on closing net asset value (NAV) plus dividends paid by the fund.

Publish leaderboard

The competition website lists and ranks the leading portfolios daily, and recognizes top performers on a weekly and monthly basis. At the end of the game, the winner will select the winning portfolio of virtual funds that achieved the highest total return during the performance period. In the event of a tie between two or more entrants achieving the same total return, the contest will end in a tie and those entrants will be deemed the winner.

QGF Global Portfolio Challenge Awards Ceremony

Awards ceremony will be subject to availability. It will be held at the location applied by the winner. All winners will be invited. All participants are welcome to attend the ceremony.
